TWO tractors were stolen overnight last night, Monday, June 16 or early hours of Tuesday, June 17, from Crediton United Football Club.
Club Chairman, Mary Avery, said she was “upset” and “angry” at the theft and appealed for anyone who saw or heard anything to get in touch with the police or the club.

She explained: “They used an angle grinder to gain access from one end of the grandstand building after a failed attempt at the other end.
“We believe that they went in and out via Commercial Road and hope someone saw something.”
Club supporter Andre Pike discovered the theft and found that two red Kubota tractors had been taken.

“It is terrible for the club, the tractors were secure in the building but they managed to get in.
“It was lucky that they didn’t take a third tractor and I don’t know why they didn’t but the three are worth between £36,000 and £40,000 so you can estimate the total cost of those taken.”
Mr Pike has been visiting local homes and businesses to appeal for information, CCTV and doorbell footage.
Sports clubs have been targeted across the county lately, many suffering losses of not only vehicles but also trophies and other items.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police using the 101 number, or by visiting the force website.
