EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic accident involving three vehicles on the A386 between Hatherleigh and Okehampton, which occurred just before 2pm on Tuesday, May 19.

Two fire engines, from Hatherleigh and Okehampton, were sent to assist Police and Ambulance.

On arrival crews confirmed that the collision involved three vehicles with two people trapped in separate vehicles.

One casualty was removed from one vehicle by Police on scene and crews used two sets of hydraulic cutting equipment to release the other casualty.

There have been no further details.

The incident was left in hands of the Police.
