THREE teenagers were arrested after a stolen vehicle was abandoned in Crediton on Saturday, August 15.

Police were notified about the theft from a property in Launceston in Cornwall early in the morning.

The vehicle left the scene “in convoy” and was found abandoned soon afterwards in Crediton.

“Following enquiries a second vehicle that was travelling with the stolen vehicle was forcibly stopped by officers in Shaldon,” a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said.

“The vehicle's occupants then fled. With the assistance of members of the public, officers made three arrests.

“A 19-year-old man from Torquay [was] arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and theft.

“A 16-year-old boy from Paignton was arrested on suspicion of two burglaries and an attempted robbery.

“A 19-year-old man from Paignton [was] arrested on suspicion of two thefts of a motor vehicle, two burglaries, attempted robbery and assault.

“All three suspects have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.”
