DEVON and Cornwall Police have confirmed that remains found in a rural area near Honiton are not human.

It was on Saturday, October 18, that police were called to reports of a body being found near Awliscombe.

Following an investigation, it was announced on Sunday, October 19, that the bones were not human.

The force thanks the public for their patience and support while the road closures and a cordon were in place.
