A SECOND road traffic accident has occurred near Dewsmoor between Barnstaple Cross and Crediton, partially closing the A377.

The road is just passable with care under direction of police officers at the scene at this time, 10.20pm.

It is unsure how many vehicles have been involved but there are several vehicles at the scene.

It is unsure if anyone has been injured.

Also on the A377, Union Road in Crediton is currently closed following to a serious road accident involving a car and motorbike between North Street and Church Street.

That accident occurred at about 7pm and the road remains closed between the two streets for accident investigation work.
