MOTORISTS are advised to proceed with care between Gutton Corner, Crediton, on the A3072 and Coffintree Cross, Cheriton Fitzpaine due to a road traffic accident.

Two police cars and a land ambulance are currently at the scene and a member of the public is controlling traffic.

The road traffic accident is believed to have happened at about 9pm.

One car has come to rest on the verge near a property.

It is not known if there are any serious injuries and it is also not known if more than one vehicle was involved.
