A MOTORCYCLIST in his 50s has died in a crash in Mid Devon.

Police were called to the scene on the B3181 near Westcott, Cullompton at around 12.45pm on Saturday, September 26.

The collision involved a red Victory motorcycle and black Volkswagen Polo.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out. It was reopened at around 9pm.
