POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, doorbell footage or CCTV to come forward after a woman was assaulted in the Tidcombe Lane area of Tiverton.

The incident happened at approximately 6pm on Thursday, June 12 along the Old Railway line, near to Tidcombe Lane.

The victim was in full running gear, when she was grabbed by a man and knocked to the ground. The women's minor injuries did not require hospital treatment.

A male is currently in custody and assisting Police with their enquiries.
