DEVON and Cornwall Police Roads Policing Team took to social media on Wednesday, June 11 to comment about action it had taken against a motorist near Crediton that day.

The Team’s social media post said: “Vehicle stopped today on the A377 near Crediton as its ‘racing’ driver failed to insure or have a valid drivers licence. Bye Bye Police. Hello Impound.”

This was followed by a waving hand image and what is believed to have been the Officers Number, 7163.

With the social media post was an image of the rear window of the vehicle which had the words: “RACING!! BYE BYE POLICE - SINCE 1985.”
