SIXTY-two teams took part in this year's Industrial Bowls Tournament in Crediton.

Each year the tournament is organised by the Rotary Club of Crediton and run by Crediton Bowling Club on its Newcombes Meadow green.

This was the 37th year of the tournament.

Each team which enters pays a fee which goes towards the Rotary president's charities.

The teams ranged from businesses to clubs and organisations.

Rotarian Peter Finnegan thanked Bowling Club member John Clements, for his organisation of the tournament and Rotarian, Nobby Clark, who started the tournament 37 years ago.

Rotary Club president, Jill Swain, thanked all those who took part.

The semi-final was between Crediton United and Symes, Robinson and Lee and Graphic A and Rotamic.

The final between Graphic A and Symes, Robinson and Lee featured brothers in opposing teams with former Champion bowler, Ian Bond in the Graphic team and Chris Bond, also a fine bowler in the other team.

The team from Symes, Robinson and Lee were the winners with Graphic the runners-up.

The Symes, Robinson and Lee team included Wyatt Loake, Kevin Boyen, Chris Bond and Billy Hole.

The Graphic A team included Neil Rice, Ian Bond, Simon Cartlidge and Dave Pickard.
