PRIME Minister Rishi Sunak has received a very special Christmas card this year – one designed by Yeoford Community Primary School pupil Ellis Withey, aged six.
Ellis entered an annual competition to design Central Devon MP Mel Stride’s Christmas card and won it with a picture of two snowmen.
His fantastic drawing featured on the card which Mel delivered in person after a meeting he had with the PM in No 10.
The two runners-up in the competition, sponsored this year by Ashburton Post Office, were Ella Ferguson (10) from Hatherleigh Community Primary School and Connie Chalmers (eight) from Chudleigh Knighton Primary School.
Mr Stride said: “I always look forward to running my Christmas card competition – the entries I get from across our constituency are a lot of fun to look through.
"The Prime Minister loved Ellis’s picture and I hope to visit Yeoford Community Primary School soon to award him with a well-deserved prize.”
Headteacher Chris Martin said: “Everyone at Yeoford Community Primary School is incredibly proud of Ellis for his wonderful drawing and we are very excited that the Prime Minister loved it.”
