ON Tuesday, July 15, more than 500 of QE's staff and students from Crediton’s Queen Elizabeth’s School will be taking part in a community walk.

Leaving Barnfield Campus in waves from 9.15am, the route will take them down to Fordton, along to Salmonhutch, up Breakheart and down Tinpot before heading up Alexandra Road to join the Millennium Path to Sandford.

After a break for lunch at Sandford Football Club, the walkers will then reverse the route until they get to the top of Tinpot steps at which point they will return to Barnfield Campus with an estimated arrival of 1.30pm.

A QE spokesperson said: “We appreciate this may lead to some congestion on the public footpaths involved but hope that, if affected, you'll bear with us and perhaps give us some words of encouragement or a cheery wave to help us on our way.”
