THE Crediton Artists’ Town Trail is now in its third year, forging links between artists, local businesses and the public.

This year Tim Salter and Rebecca Holley have organised the event supported by Crediton Arts Centre to coincide with Credfest and will run from June 1 to June 16.

More than 40 local artists are taking part, each with a piece or pieces of artwork in the windows of shops, cafes and businesses up and down the High Street and Town Square.

The works are varied from painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textiles plus more and from the abstract modern to the more figurative traditional, something to suit all tastes.

All work can be viewed without entering the establishment but in certain cases there may be more pieces inside. This year The Turning Tides CIC is also involved and members have been working alongside Tesco to bring equal access to music, the arts and life.

Many of the artists will open their studios during the event, making it a wonderful opportunity to see more of their work, speak to the artist and maybe purchase a piece or just a card.

A very warm welcome awaits anybody visiting the artists in their studios, look out for sign posts and directions.

To accompany Crediton Artists’ Town Trail and Open Studios 2019 a full colour brochure has been produced providing details of the artists, locations and Studio opening times.

The brochure can be obtained from establishments across Crediton and downloaded from the Credfest website: www.credfest.co.uk and Crediton Arts Centre website: www.creditonartscentre.org .
