THE 1st Crediton Scout Group is once again offering a postal service for Christmas cards this year within Crediton town and the villages of Newton St Cyres and Copplestone and, new this year, Sandford as well.
Stamps are very reasonably priced and cost just 50p each or five for £2.
Last posting for cards will be Friday, December 12.
The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, Leaders and volunteers will deliver the cards within the built up areas of the town and the same in the villages between December 14 and 16.
People can purchase the Scout stamps and post their cards at Creedy Kitchens, Crediton Congregational Church, CJ Interiors, Age Concern Centre (Deep Lane), Quicke’s Farm Shop and new this year, CraftSisters on the square and The Bookery in the High Street, and at the Crediton Tree Festival Cafe (in Boniface Centre) on the Saturday only (December 6).
Please note these venues will only be able to accept cash and it is helpful if you have the correct change.
Alternatively, stamps can be purchased from any member of the 1st Crediton Scout Group.
There are also post boxes where people can post stamped cards at Morrisons and Tesco (Wellparks). There are no stamp sales at these locations.
The Scouts are really grateful to all of these venues for their support.
The Scouts cannot guarantee delivery to Shobrooke, Yeoford, Coleford, Knowle, Newbuildings, or any other hamlets or outlying properties.
If you have any queries, or know of an elderly / housebound local resident who would like the Scouts to collect post from their home, please call Helen on 07814 977693.
The Scout Post service raises funds for the 1st Crediton Scouts.
