THE weekend of June 7 and 8 saw Crediton Youth FC hold its annual six aside tournament at Lords Meadow.
With 195 teams taking part it was a busy weekend, sides coming from across the South West.

Despite the challenging weather on the Saturday the tournament ran really smoothly, the club receiving many compliments from visiting sides.
The club thank the many businesses that sponsor and support the event, especially main sponsors A and S Paving and Crediton Dairy.
Special thanks go to Crediton Rugby Club and Page Concrete and Steel for their assistance with parking.

It takes a great team effort to put on such an event.
The club thank all the coaches, parents and volunteers who helped during the weekend. Special thanks must go to the Crediton Lions Club members who assisted on both days with car parking.
Head Referee Rob Stoyle and his team must be congratulated on the excellent standard of officiating and smooth running of the games, especially, on the Saturday with a record 18 pitches in use.
This year the club had three winning sides. The U8 Blues edged out Torquay Academy in a very entertaining final.
It was an epic affair for the U12 Girls Youth side as they came from two goals down to score three late goals to clinch their third tournament win of the season.

Crediton U16 Wanderers ran out winners against Cullompton Blues in their final.
