SEAMUS Doherty (8) from Witheridge, had dreams of making it into the British cycling team and riding in the Olympic Sport of BMX Racing for Great Britain.

He rides for Psykopath Industries and trains at Tiverton BMX track.

Last summer during his first ever season racing nationally, Seamus took the track by storm and finished ranking National No 8, making it onto the podium during the Scottish rounds.

This means that he has made it onto the British Team and will be racing for Great Britain at the World and European Championships.

This Years World Championships are in Azerbaijan and these events are self funded.The public is asked to help Seamus realise his world Championship dreams and support him by attending a special fundraising gig to help him fund his travel.

The gig will be performed by Sheelanagig at Witheridge Parish Hall (EX16 8AG) on Friday, March 16 at 7.30pm.
