THE third Sandford Slammer cycle event raised £1,305 for Sandford Football Club and three local charities.
A total of 95 cyclists took part in the Slammer which is organised by Sandford Football Club and Sandford Syclepaths.
A cheque presentation was held at Sandford Football Club on Saturday, October, 13 where Crediton & District MS Support Group, Hospice UK and Devon Air Ambulance all received £218 each. Sandford Football Club received about £650.
Chris O’Connor of Sandford syclepaths said: "I worked out the route which gave cyclists a choice of 33 or 58 miles - my route was also used by the Tour of Britain as part of their cycle route.
Lyn Cartlidge of Sandford Football Club said: "We are very grateful to Withleigh Village Hall for the use of their car park and toilets for a refreshment stop.
"We would also like to thank everyone who helped on the day and all the cyclists who took part."
