CREDITON Rugby Club will be the place to be on Saturday, July 5.

Hundreds of people will be attending a special event to celebrate Yenz’s Year, Exeter Chiefs captain Jack Yeandle’s testimonial year.

During the 2024/25 season Jack is marking having played for the Chiefs for over 10 years.

Jack has been organising events and fundraisers and chose the charity British Heart Foundation to support during his testimonial year after losing his best friend to a cardiac arrest over 10 years ago.

It was at Crediton Rugby Club where Jack started his playing career and it will be a fitting finale to his year on Saturday.

Rugby Rush will be a fast-paced, exciting day of rugby featuring professional players past and present, male and female, and some celebrity star dust mixed in.

Team Captains include Exeter Chiefs stars Jack Yeandle, Jack Nowell, Dave Ewers and Ethan Roots, former England internationals Matt Banahan and Steffon Armitage, and women's players and ambassadors, Lagi Tuima and Jemma Dymond.

This will be a brilliant day out for individuals or with friends or family.

It will run from 12 noon until 10pm and include a festival of touch rugby with past and present professional players together with non-playing team mates, with both men and women on teams.

On June 21, a group of 25 cyclists rode 67 miles from Saunton Sands beach to Exmouth Rugby Club in aid of the Jack’s chosen charity.

The coast to coast cycle event included stops at South Molton Rugby Club and Crediton Rugby Club, with a second group of cyclists joining the ride from Crediton to Exmouth.

Jack cycled alongside former teammates and other keen riders.
