THE James Uren award for the Best Young Referee to officiate at Crediton Youth FC fixtures at Lords Meadow was recently presented to Reece Burnison.
Reece regularly takes charge of youth fixtures as well as playing for Crediton Youth Under 18’s and Crediton United Reserves.
Club Chairman Adrian Harvey said it is great to see a young lad who was gone through the youth section go on to referee on a regular basis and win the award.
Reece is a popular choice of ref with the Crediton coaches, who say “it is always great to have your positive and supportive attitude on match days”.
The only side to see their fixture survive last weekends weather was the U14s.
They were away at the Exwick Hub against Alphington, but despite their best efforts it was the league leaders who ran out 4-0 winners.
