CREDITON and District Swimming Club has been affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society since the club was formed in 1999.

During the years that have followed more than 100 RLSS awards have been gained under the teaching of Crediton club members, Christine Furse and Andrew Coles.

The Devon Branch of the RLSS has awarded the club the Western Area "Rowter" Trophy for the highest number of awards gained in 2012, the first time the club has received the award.

The trophy was received on behalf of the club by it's President Peter Brewer at the RLSS Branch AGM held in May this year.
