QUEENS Badminton Club player Hannah Preece has finished the season strongly by winning the ladies doubles at two tournaments on the Badminton England Senior Silver circuit.
Hannah travelled to Bracknell in April with Bath University team-mate, Amy Reddaway, to play in the Berkshire Senior Silver.
Hannah and Amy had not played doubles together for several years, but were successful in winning the Ladies Doubles.
They teamed up again to go to Luton on May 16 to play in the Luton Senior Silver and were again successful in winning the ladies doubles.
Hannah had begun the season last September winning the Ladies Doubles at the Devon Restricted tournament with her sister Sarah.
Both from Crediton, the girls also won the ladies doubles title at the Cornwall Senior Silver Tournament.
During the season, the sisters have played together at a number of tournaments, reaching the finals of the Devon Senior Silver and the Bournemouth Senior Silver.
The Preece sisters have both played for the Devon First badminton team throughout the season.
Along with Queens players Jenny Maddison and Simon Brassington, Hannah also represented Devon at the end of March at the Under 21 Inter County Tournament in York, a National competition, where the Devon team was successful in achieving third place.
