CREDITON angler Mike Izzard had another productive session at Creedy Lakes fishery in Crediton last week which saw him landing a grand total of 24 fish, all of which were common carp.

His top three catches were 24lbs 12oz, 20lbs 2oz and 19lbs in weight.

Mike never sits still, if he isn’t catching as he says, the fish generally don’t come to you as you need to cast to where you see some action.

The producing swims were three-quarters of the way up on the left bank and the point swim on the far bank and he used both the surface and ledger tactics on the day.

Another local angler, Alvin King, fishing three-quarters of the way up on the right bank had some nice sport tempting out four commons up to mid double in size.
