NEW Buildings angler Paul Baker paid his first visit of the season to Creedy Lakes Fishery, in Crediton recently.

Swimming on the right bank, his bag consisted of five fish and topping his catches was a nice specimen of 20lbs 12oz.

Paul’s other fish included a lovely ghostie of 11lbs 14oz together with a good sized tench weighing 5lbs 9oz.

Steve Tancock, also from New Buildings. chose to fish at the top of the left-hand bank and had one of his best ever Creedy sessions.

He banked a grand total of 16 fish in total and topping his bag was a very clean specimen scaling 25lbs 8oz.

All of his 15 commons ranged from 9lbs upwards and Steve also tempted a very pretty ghost carp weighing 7lbs exactly.

Crediton’s Mike Izzard, in a recent session concentrated on the surface doing what he loves best but has found the form somewhat challenging compared to other times.

Last week Mike hooked a solitary common whilst fishing on the top which was a good size carp scaling 22lbs 4oz.
