DOWNES Crediton Golf Club seniors played a four ball better ball competition on Monday, January 7 and it was the pair of Mike Conder and Ian Pring who took top spot scoring a superb 47 points.

In second place were Colin Parr and John Wigginton (45 points) and placed third were Roger Gratton and Hugh Fernyhough with 45 points.

The pair of Fran Shrubsole and Shirley Stunell stole the show at the ladies Canadian foursomes on Thursday, January 10 as they scored a brilliant 46 points to take the victory with the pair of Rickie Pawsey and Ying Wong in second place with 44 points.

It was a full field for the club stableford played on Saturday, January 12 and John Ponsford took the overall victory with a great score of 39 points.

This beat four other players with a better back nine holes. John also topped Division One followed by Steve Whyte who finished second with 39 points.

Division Two saw Adrian Cram score 39 points to finish in top spot while David Bunclark (39 pts) finished in second place whilst Division Three saw Adrian Snell take the win posting 39 points.
