DOWNES Crediton Golf Club held its Mid Week Stableford on Wednesday, August 28 which saw Paul Williams win with an amazing 47 points.

The ladies played a par competition on Thursday, August 30 and it was Ying Wong who came out on top with a great score of +1 to win Division One prize.

In Division Two it was Vivienne Bailey who scored -3 to come out on top.

The Thursday evening stableford nine hole qualifier was won by Simon March who scored 20 points.

The annual Ray Shire trophy was played on Saturday, August 31 and it was the team of Tim Keehner, Stewart Cowling and Colin Baker who came out as the top team with a brilliant score of nett 55 (15 under) while the team of Leigh Davis, Murray Smith and Robert Ashman finished second with a great score of 56 (14 under).

The Sunday stableford (September 1) winner was Neil Maddocks with a great score of 39 points.
