DOWNES Crediton Golf Club seniors played the Captain’s Cup on Monday, December 13, and it saw Chris Theedom score a fabulous 42 points to win overall and top Division Two.
In Division Two Mark Walker (41 points) finished second whilst in Division One Colin Wheatcroft was victorious scoring 40 points with Peter Blinkhorn (39pts) second.
Den Conibear scored 16 points to finish in top spot in the Nine Hole Division.
A mixed “Nine and Dine” competition was played on Tuesday, December 14 and it saw the trio of David Taylor, Annet Coles and Alan Barr score a superb 39 points to claim top spot with Peter Chave, Trish Wallis and Sue Sparham (35pts) second. Following golf they enjoyed a super meal and get together.
On Thursday, December 16, Stacey Ford scored 37 points to win the Ladies Fancy Dress Stableford with Anne Woodger second posting 28 points.
The December Monthly Stableford was played on Saturday, December 18 and with a stunning 45 points it was Mike Thurston who won overall and topped Division Three, with Colin Baker (41pts) following in second.
In Division Two victory went to Gerry Tomlinson who scored 41 points with Neil Bishop (37pts) second.
Darren Clifford topped Division One with 37, two points clear of second placed Michael White (35pts).
Ladies winner on the day was Lyn Parry with 27 points.
