MONDAY, December 2 saw Downes Crediton Golf Club Seniors play a three clubs and a putter team stableford competition.

This saw the trio of Tom Pettifer, David Cousins and Martin Howe take the spoils scoring 73 points.

This total beat the team of Kevin Woolacott, Peter Carr and Ian Steer (73 points) into second by virtue of a better back nine.

The annual Christmas nine-hole stableford for our ladies was played on Thursday, December 5 and we saw Vivienne Bailey take top spot and Division Two with a superb scored of 19 points.

She was closely followed by Penny Long who scored 17 points to finish second. In Division One it was Lyn Parry who came out on top with a score of 18 points with Anne Woodger (17 pts) in second place.

Ben Marchant stole the show in this months December Medal with a fantastic score of nett 63 (seven under) to finish first overall and top Division One.

Richard Dyer (nett 64) followed in second place with James Bourner (nett 67) third.

In Division Two Darren Clifford came out on top posting a nett 65 (five under) with Alex Williams (nett 67) second.

Ray Kelly won Division Three with a score of nett 69 with Stewart Cowling (nett 71) second.
