CREDITON'S young side were outgunned by visiting side Galmpton, when, yet again, they conceded far too early and far too easily in this Peninsula League match.

Two goals in the first seven minutes were too great a hurdle and despite a battling performance, as the game wore on they were unable to cut the deficit.

Although Crediton had lost the previous two games they went into this game hopeful of a result as performances had been pretty good, but after only a couple of minutes the Galmpton centre-forward rose to head home unmarked from Dan Rankin's free kick.

Then, with just seven minutes on the clock, it was 0-2.

The defence caught square and from a sublime through ball, Rankin scored easily despite some enthusiastic flapping from Lee Waring in the goal.
