AS the football season draws to a close Crediton Youth Football Club has had a couple of training sessions with a difference.
The Under 16’s had the Exeter City Football in the Community team deliver a futsal taster session which was led by ex-Exeter City striker Chris Shepherd.
Chris gave the players a better appreciation of this popular form of small sided football.
Under 16’s manager, Simon Stevens, said he was very impressed by the way Chris ran the session and the way his players responded.
Once again the club was fortunate enough to have current Exeter City star Lee Holmes come out to a training session.
Lee, who is sponsored by local builders, R J Salter and Son, spent time with the Under 9’s, 11’s and 14’s whilst they trained.
Lee chatted to the players about the upcoming play offs, and signed autographs and posed for photographs.
