A CHARITY football match made up of students from Queen Elizabeth’s School, Crediton was played at the Forches football pitch on Saturday, May 25.

The match was organised by Harry Peake and the teams were made up from the following young people: John Pugh, Josh Tucker, Sam Browning, Sam Price, Lewis Hunt, Josh Edwards, Steven Dymond, Dylan Henbrow, Roo Ludgate, Jack Bulford, Michael Williams, Seb Fraiquin, Riley Orchard, Jess Sandland, Nicola Robinson, Harry Stanbury, Lee Waldron, Harry Peake, Rhiley Williams (guest player from Hayward’s School), Liam Williams, Ciaran Williams and Ryan Sandland who played the important role of referee.

The match ended with a fine score line of 4-3, the last goal being scored by the substitute Rhiley Williams (aged seven).

A great big well done and thank you to all who took part and sponsored the players, it was well-supported where the players raised a fine total of £225.

Of this total, £150 will go to Cancer Research UK and £75 to the Macmillan Nurses charity.
