CREDITON Youth FC took a group of more than 75 parents, players and coaches into the recent Exeter City FC Woman’s game against AFC Bournemouth held at St James Park.

With many other players in at the game with either their school party or Exeter City squad, the club was very well represented on the day.

This was one of only two home fixtures for the women’s side to be held at the ground this season.

Exeter City were keen to beat last season’s previous record attendance of 1380 for a ladies home game.

So it really was a Super Sunday when the Grecians ran out 3-1 winners in front of a new record crowd of 2,641 for an Exeter City ladies game.

Two goals from Jenna Markham and late header from Mollie Taylor saw them pick up all three points in what was described as an unbelievable atmosphere.

It was a special day for many of the Crediton Youth U10 girls who got the opportunity to see one of their coaches Jess Sandland put in another impressive performance for City.
