LAST weekend saw the first full weekend of fixtures for Crediton Youth Football Club teams.

The U15’s travelled to Central Scorpions and lost out 4-2.

It was a great start to life in Division Two for the U13’s as they ran out 3-0 winners at home against Cranbrook United. Their goals coming through Joseph Charlesworth, Luke Beetlestone and Radu Mototolea.

The U12’s lost out 6-2 away at West Exe United, but they felt that the scoreline did not reflect their performance. Joey Carpenter and Noah Pugsley getting their goals.

After a successful preseason the U11’s started their league campaign with an impressive victory over Cullompton Rangers. Ben Whelan, Charley Hiscock, Harry Shepherd and Lennie Wilmott amongst the goals.

The U10’s hosted sides from Exmouth United and it was two wins and two defeats for them.

It was four wins for the U9’s as they took on sides from Heavitree Youth.

Sunday saw the U13 Youth girls return from Cullompton Rangers with a 4-1 victory. Two goals from Emily Walshe, with Emily Beer and Merryn Eatherley also on target in a great team performance.

It was also a win for the U11 girls away at West Exe Whippets. Halle Yelland grabbing the goals.

The U18’s lost out 3-2 in their first league fixture against Westexe Park Rangers.

They nearly salvaged a point in the later stages in a close encounter with Joe Hopkins getting both the home side’s goals.

• Crediton Youth Football Club provides football, fitness and fun for more than 250 boys and girls between the ages of 7 to 18.

The club aims to establish itself as the place for young people to get the best quality football training in the area.

All coaching staff are FA qualified and police checked, players insured through the FA.
