Devon County FA shortlisted for three national awards 

DEVON County FA is once again celebrating national recognition, having been shortlisted for three awards at the annual FA County Recognition Awards.

With more than 200 nominations submitted from across the country, Devon County FA has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s County FA Recognition Awards.

The Devon 567s small-sided football programme has been shortlisted for Football Development, while the delivery of Active Bystanders Workshops has been recognised in the Progressive Governance category.

Devon County FA’s Behaviour Interventions and Fair Play Fridays have also been shortlisted for Tackling Poor Behaviour.

The County FA Recognition Awards celebrate the very best of the work being delivered across the County FA network, with Devon County FA’s three nominations highlighting the breadth and impact of work taking place across the county.

The shortlisting is a testament to the dedication of County FA staff and the wider Devon Football Family, who work together to Enhance Lives Through Football.

A total of 12 awards will be presented at Wembley Stadium connected by EE on Wednesday, November 4, with this year’s nominations building on a successful 2025 awards campaign, when Devon County FA was shortlisted in four categories and went on to win the Employee Wellbeing & Engagement Award for Our People Plan & Investors In People Accreditation.

Devon County FA CEO, Chris French, expressed his pride in being shortlisted for three awards.

He said: “I am delighted that Devon County FA has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s County FA Recognition Awards and they are a reflection of the work going on across the County to make football a more positive, respectful and inclusive environment.

“The recognition in the Tackling Poor Behaviour and Progressive Governance categories are demonstrative of the work we are doing to ensure everyone enjoys their football in a safe environment and that the people are at the heart of our governance.
