IT was East Devon Youth League cup action for many Crediton Youth FC sides last weekend (October 7 and 8).
The U16s progressed to the next round after their 6-1 victory away at Fenton.
Gabriel Smith scored two goals and Alfie Chard, Jack Brimilcombe, Joseph Bridgeman and Joe Hopkins also scored.
It was not to be the U14s day as they went out on penalties at home against Abbot Athletic after the game finished one apiece. Zak Cheriet was on target for Creddy.
Tiverton was the destination for both U10 sides.
The Panthers were at Twyford and they progressed through to the next round after penalties.
The game ended one apiece with Dexter Hughes getting the Creddy goal. Hugh Swain got player of the match.
It was heartbreak for Pumas who lost out 2-1 in the last minute against Moors Youth.
Freddie Hubber put Creddy ahead in the opening minute. Otis Cavender got player of the match and there were some great debut performances from their new players.
They now hopefully look forward to a decent run in the plate competition.
Both U9s sides made it through to the next round.
City won away at Central Grecians with Charlie Blake, Charley Hiscock and player of the match Charlie Hayward, scored their goals.
United progressed against Starcross Dons on penalties after it finished all square.
Ben Whelan, Lennie Wilmott and player of the match Bobby Beadon amongst their goal scorers.
It was league action for the U13s, who picked up three valuable points away at Seaton.
They came out on top of an 11 goal thriller by the odd goal.
Amongst the goal scorers for them were Amber Zhang, Ethan Moore, George Strawson, Hayden Richardson Miller, and Jack Daniel Singleton.
The U12s were away at Central Youth Corinthians and it was not to be their day as they lost out 4-1.
Oliver Brimilcombe scored the goal with a great free kick.
But a friendly fixture on Sunday against Culm Sampford brought some cheer. It was a great debut for Harvey Pickard who finished the game with a hat-trick, two from Elliot Fee and Casey Philp completed the scoring on a fine morning for them.
The U11s had a home friendly against Dawlish, and a thoroughly enjoyable game which finished 1-1.
Despite the result, the U8s and 9s had a great afternoon at St James Park as they took part in the half-time shoot out during the Exeter City v Barnsley game.
The game looked like it would end goalless until a late goal from the visitors saw them leave with all three points.
It was an extra special day for George Hookway and Samih Bower who were the clubs representatives as match day mascots.
Sunday saw the U15 girls venture to Watcombe Wanderers in Newton Abbot.
Isabella Ferrante led the scoring for them with four, and singles from Amy Lockyer, Evie Gresswell and Ruby Turner saw them rack up seven goals without reply.
The U13 girls entertained Exmouth United which was always going to be a tough encounter.
They eventually lost out 4-1 with Sophie Hawke scoring their goal.
