CREDITON Youth Football Girls Section were fortunate to be able to take part in the Half-Time Shoot Out at the recent Exeter City v Forest Green Rovers game.

With the original game on Boxing Day being abandoned at half-time, owing to a waterlogged pitch, the game was rescheduled to a Wednesday evening.

Around 20 girls, made up from players from all three of the clubs girls sides, took part and became the first girls teams to take part in the Half-Time Shoot Out.

The girls obviously inspired the City players, as after a goalless first half, City went on to win 2-0 with goals from Jayden Stockley and a Pierce Sweeney penalty in the second half.
