CREDITON AFC players and members have a chance to meet their new chairman, Bob Chamberlain, when one of the last matches of the season is held on Saturday, April 1 at the club’s Lords Meadow pitch.

Bob took over at the club’s annual meeting from Alan Ord who stood down because of family illness.  Alan was chairman for two years.

On April 1, Crediton Firsts meet Brixham AFC in their last home game.  Crediton has three more games before ending the season with an away match to Brixham.

Crediton has been top of the Peninsula South West League with Okehampton Argyle between them and Brixham, so the match on April 1 could be a bit of a ding-dong.  It is hoped many people will go along to watch.

Bob Chamberlain was proposed by Dave Blanchford, club President.

Bob has been chairman of Clyst Rovers, Exmouth Town, Topsham and Barnstaple.  He lives in Exmouth and was asked to join Crediton last year.

He had garages in Exeter and Winkleigh, specialising in vintage, veteran and classic vehicles.

Paul Stapleton of Newton St Cyres is the club’s vice chairman.  His son plays in the Crediton First team.
