IT was a big week for Crediton Youth U11’s with two tough fixtures against Whipton Warriors. Midweek saw them return from Whipton with a narrow victory courtesy of a Ben Whelan goal.

Saturday, April 18 saw the reverse fixture with another win for the Crediton lads with goals from Charley Hiscock, Lennon Young, Tom Finney and a bullet header from Lennie Wilmott capping a fine week for them.

The U12’s lost out away at Stoke Hill Colts with Finn Cereda, Joey Carpenter and Parker Ambrosio getting their consolation goals.

It was a tight affair for the U13’s as they lost out 4-3 at Lords Meadow. Jacob Sweeney, Ollie Dallyn and Will Manns on target for them.

Another tight affair for the U14’s as they were edged out 3-2 away at Starcross Dons. Ellis Friend and Jayden Heale grabbing their goals.

The U15’s hosted league leaders Starcross Dons and fell to a 8-1 defeat.

Sunday, April 19 saw the U15 girls host North Molton.

The visitors came out 5-4 winners at the final whistle, which saw them go top of the table. Lucy O’Connell and Olivia Mills both getting two apiece for the home side.

The U11 Girls travelled to Exmouth, putting in one of their best performances to overcome their hosts.

Esme Armitage and Eva Rogers led the scoring with Ariana Malik and Eleanor Boundy also on the scoresheet.

On the road were the U9 Girls who took on sides from Central Youth and Starcross Dons.

It was one win and a defeat for them, their coaches impressed by their development. Amelia Holland, Ivy Doyle and Summer Sheppard amongst the goals. Ettie Bruni taking the player of the day award.

It was a special day for the U7 Girls as they started their football journey with a mini tournament at Devon FA’s headquarters at Newton Abbot which they all thoroughly enjoyed.
