RUNNERS from the Crediton area, father and daughter, Nick and Katie Bellfield will be running the London Marathon in aid of CLIC Sargent on April 22.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families.
From diagnosis, their care teams provide a specialist package of support and guidance tailored to each young cancer patient and family.
This will be Nick’s fifth London Marathon, and third for CLIC Sargent. He has also run the Dublin Marathon and the Paris Marathon twice, all for various cancer charities. Training is going well, and he ran the Bideford Half Marathon on March 11 as preparation for the race.
For Katie, this will be the second consecutive year that she has run the London Marathon for CLIC Sargent. She also ran the 26.2 mile course back in 2014 for Children with Cancer UK with Nick and her mum, Sonya Bellfield.
Between the three of them, Team Bellfield has raised more than £20,000 for various cancer charities.
Team Bellfield’s joint target for this year’s marathon is £4,000, and they are currently just over halfway to meeting their target.
They have had lots of support from friends and family with sponsorship, and also from locals in Crediton who have kindly donated at various collections that the team have organised at Morrisons supermarket.

Team Bellfield would like to thank everyone for their continued support and kind donations for such a worthy cause.
