A GLORIOUS sunny Sunday morning and a wonderful display of trophies greeted the many members who turned up at Crediton Bowling Club at Newcombes Meadow to watch the second day of the Finals Weekend.

As with the men there was a Ladies Non-Cup competition for those who had still not won a competition in the Club and this year Helen Ellis defeated Anne Sullivan.

There was a late replacement in the Ladies Pairs as Jill Heal went down with Covid and her place was taken by Mary Abbott who was partnering Jill Ayris. Unfortunately Lady Luck didn’t shine on the two of them as they were beaten by Sue Grigg and Jenny Newbery.

Not to be outshone by his wife the Mens Pairs competition was won by Trevor Newbery in partnership with David Searle as they overcame Lloyd Reynolds and Colin Ladd.
