DARREN Chandler (32) from Zeal Monachorum, who has completed several runs for charity during recent years, is planning his next run of 35 miles on Sunday, October 13.

Earlier this year Darren raised £1,100, for the children of Yemen to help fight starvation and poverty, by running from Zeal Monachorum to Budleigh Salterton.

Aiming to raise £500, Darren will start this latest run at Chulmleigh Parish Church, then run on to Crediton stopping at Lapford Parish Church, and on to Copplestone Methodist Church. After Crediton, he will turn around, and head towards Colebrooke, through Spreyton into Bow and finish at Zeal Monachorum Parish Church.

Darren says funds raised will be divided between the churches he stops at, for them to use for the running costs of the buildings, and the social work they do to help those in their community.

Darren is married to Natalia and works as a chef at the Waie Inn. The couple have three young children who all attend Bow Primary School.

He has a Just Giving page for donations via: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/darren-chandler-3 or donations can be left for him at the Waie Inn.

He thanks everyone who has helped him in the past, and will be very grateful for help on this fundraising run, which he says will probably be his last.
