THE Crediton Crunch is aiming to top last year's £2,500 donation to the charity Balloons in 2014 by allowing up to 300 runners to take part in the event which takes place on Sunday, May 18. The deadline for registration is looming, closing date for postal entries is Friday, May 9. Many have already registered, so be quick to avoid disappointment. The race HQ will be at Lords Meadow Leisure Centre as will be the finish line. Following the same route as last year, runners will pass through Shobrooke Park and the grounds of Downes House. The runners will also be amongst the first people to pass over the newly constructed bridge crossing over the, as yet to be opened, link road. Entry forms can also be picked up at the leisure centre or the Courier offices at 102 High Street, Crediton. If places are still available after Friday, May 9, then any applications will need to be submitted on-line and a Race Pack collected from Race HQ on the morning of the event.
