FROM Sunday, July 21 to Tuesday, July 23 Sandford Cricket Club will host a full three-day minor counties game between Devon County Cricket Club and Wiltshire.
With only three clubs in the county hosting three-day games this is one of the highest honours that Sandford Cricket Club could receive.
Over the years Sandford Cricket Club has been recognised by umpires and officials as one of the best playing surfaces in the county and this is due recognition for everyone’s hard work.
Set in the delightful grounds of Creedy Park the ground is set naturally within the rolling hills of Mid Devon and with a clubhouse and facilities that are the envy of most clubs in the county.
The start of play on all three days will be 11am. Entrance for spectators will be free but there will be a very small charge for cars.
Devon is one of the leading minor counties in the competition and its record within the three-day competition and the one-day cup competition is unsurpassed.
If you visit for a full-day or part-day this is an opportunity for cricket fans and everyone to see the best players in the county in a full three-day game.
Refreshments will be served throughout each day.
Sandford Cricket Club welcomes you all to the ground and the “Bill Matten Pavilion” and hope that you enjoy the very best cricket that the county can provide.
