FOLLOWING the tensest end to a Sandford Community Cricket League competition since it first started seven years ago, Crediton Rugby Club will play Graphic in the final tonight, Friday, August 3 with a 6.15pm start.

Tuesday (July 31) saw the final game of the regular season played when the Three Little Pigs heavily defeated Crediton Inn 156-102.

However, although prior to the match both teams had an outside chance of qualifying for the final, in the end the 156 the Three Little Pigs scored was not enough for them to reach the final, eventually unable to equal the Rugby Club’s run rate of 8.52.

Final positions were: 1 Graphic pld 5, pts 8, R/R 8.28; 2 Crediton Rugby Club 5, 6, 8.52; 3 Sandford Football Club 5, 6, 8.14; 4 Three Little Pigs 5, 6, 8.06; 5 Crediton Inn 5, 4, 7.77; 6 Sandford Parents/Youth 5, 0, 6.70.

The winners will play for the Barrie Sparham OBE Memorial Trophy at Creedy Park home. The Club will provide a barbecue for anyone wishing to attend.
