THE County Cup draw saw all the Crediton Youth FC sides pitted against Plymouth based sides.

The result of the weekend went to the U14 girls who made their way through to the semi-finals after a 2-1 win away at Ocean City.

Goals from Abbie Carthew and Amelia Duffin clinched their victory.

The U12 girls hosted Hunter and District, but they were edged out 2-1. Gracie Clements gave the home side a half-time lead, but two second half goals from the visitors saw them go through to the next round.

It was an epic tie for the U12’s who made the journey to YMCA All Saints. The game finished 2-2 at the end of full-time with Dan Cavanagh and Luis Matthews getting the Crediton goals.

Extra time brought no further goals and so came the dreaded penalties. Hayden Richardson Miller, Josh Poole and Luis Matthews all held their nerve with their spot kicks to send them through.

The U13’s were handed a walk over and the journey down to Plymouth for their tie.

It was a one-sided affair for the U11’s on Saturday morning away at Teignmouth.

Casey Philp and Oliver Brimilcombe led the goal scoring for them, with Daniel Southall and Freddie Peake also amongst the goals.

The U9’s hosted Westexe Youth and fielded three sides with a mixed bag of results.
