THIS autumn sees the return of led bicycle rides for Mums with their little ones in and around Crediton

The rides are led by British Cycling trained ride leader Emma Fuell. The rides are on nearby country lanes each Tuesday morning.

The emphasis for each ride is on being active, getting outside, meeting new people and having fun.

The bikes, all properly serviced along with their weatherproof secure trailers and the helmets are all provided.

On the rides everyone always travels at the speed of the slowest rider.

The project is funded and co-ordinated by Active Devon in conjunction with Crediton Town Team and is generously supported by Create Storage Solutions and Crediton Bike Shed.

Ride leader Emma said: “Having a child requires a big life adjustment and often it feels difficult to lose pregnancy weight and meet people at a similar stage in their lives.

“The physical, social and ‘feel good’ benefits of a group bike ride are considerable. The children enjoy their morning nap in the trailers, or simply watch the world go by.”

For more information visit the group’s “Facebook” page “Mumscycles”.

Meet and hear more from Emma at the Crediton Town Team’s AGM on Monday, November 25 at 7.30pm in Crediton Library.

There will also be presentations on the Town Team’s High Street Flags Project, the Boniface Heritage Trail and the Crediton Heart Project, all helping to make Crediton a great place to live. All will be welcome and refreshments will be provided.
