HEAVIEST catch for the week at Creedy Lakes fishery in Crediton was banked by George Swift from Silverton, who settled in one of the top swims at the far end of the right-hand bank, casting out into shallower water depths.

His rod screamed soon after he had presented some ledger boilies and this resulted in a lovely common carp which tipped the scales to just over 27lbs in weight.

George also banked a nice 12lbs common along with a good sized 4lbs green tench.

Tiverton’s Phil Atkins made a first visit this season with his son, Harry and they chose the first swim on the right bank. Harry really enjoyed his fishing trip and they enjoyed some nice sport banking three good commons which scaled 22lbs, 19lbs and 17lbs.
