FOXLAND TROPHY TUESDAY, August 12 - two men's rinks – I Bond – home and S Stevens – away. Foxland Trophy holders Crediton won their way through to this year's semi-finals with a three shots victory over Madeira, Exmouth. Playing at home, Ian Bond's rink lost by three shots after leading by 12-4 shots at one stage of the game. But Simon Stevens rink playing away at Exmouth won by six shots to cover the home team. MEN'S OVER 60's LEAGUE Crediton 'A' team returned to winning ways after losing their last two league matches and dropping to second place in their league. The 'B' team were three shots away from picking up six points, but the 'C' team dropped all eight points playing Tiverton West End at home. Wednesday, August 13 – two men's triples – team 'A' v Tiverton B.C 'A' – home – L Parker won 25-15 and R Andrews won 22-9. Crediton won by 47- 24 shots – league points 8-0. Two men's triples – team 'B' v Exonia 'B' – home – G Newbery lost 17-20 and S Wollacott won 15-14. Crediton lost by 32-34 shots – league points 2-6. Two men's triples – team 'C' v Tiverton West End 'B' – home – K Snell lost 12-17 and R Fickling lost 17-20. Crediton lost by 29-37 shots – league points 0-8. CLUB FRIENDLIES Saturday, August 16 – six mixed rinks v Tiverton West End – away – Crediton had a narrow four shots victory playing away at Tiverton West End. T Richards lost 9- 24, G Newbery won 27-13, S Wollacott lost 11-21, A Milford won 20-19, D Richards drew 17-17 and J Abbott won 28-14. Crediton won by 112-108 shots. Sunday, August 17 – six mixed triples v Bye ways – home – R Fickling lost 11-20, P Milford won 23-17, P Martin lost 15-17, P Moon won 22- 11, T Newbery won 18-13 and C Fribbens won 21-7.
