HEAVIEST fish landed at Creedy Lakes fishery in Crediton last week went to Crediton angler Mick Youles, who decided to fish three-quarters up on the right-hand bank casting out into open water of the mid-depth area.

Mick was very pleased with his angling result that day as he managed to gain a new Personal Best by 3oz when he banked a lovely specimen common scaling 24lbs 6oz. He also hooked another common carp which weighed in at 11lbs 4oz.

Aaron Clarke had a good visit fishing up the top end of the left-hand bank where he tempted a couple of carp with his best catch topping 21lbs 2oz.

Local angler Natasha Sandford from Uton came very close when she hooked out a very clean common which weighed 20lbs on her scales.

She also tempted another three fish during that session whilst fishing three-thirds of the way up on the left-bank giving her a four-fish bag.

Her husband, James, also had some nice sport tempting out a nice specimen common weighing 17lbs 8oz.

Other fish landed last week included Steve Tancock from New Buildings who enjoyed an evening session and tempted out a nice mid double figure carp weighing 14lbs 8oz, and Crediton’s Alvin King with a 15lbs 4oz.
