CREDITON and Copplestone Little PUMAs Tae Kwon-Do were very lucky to have a special visit to a recent training session at the Lords Meadow Leisure Centre.

Jay, a Police puppy, went along to see them with his trainer Stewart Fleming.

Dave Powlesland, who runs the group told everyone how the Little PUMAs is currently working on the theme of discipline, so to have Stewart and Jay go along gave the Little PUMAs some additional insight and information about different types of discipline.

Dave said that the Little PUMAs had discussed the rules for them to be safe in and around animals as well as some of the rules and training Jay would be doing to become a serving Police Dog.

Stewart gave everyone an interesting insight into what the training and life of a dog in the Police force is like.

Jay is just over 10-months-old and will be formally taking up his full-time training early in the New Year.

Dave told us the Little PUMAs loved meeting Jay and finding out all about him.

The Little PUMAs wished Jay well with his training and look forward to seeing him again when he is a fully trained and serving with Devon and Cornwall Police.
