TUESDAY, July 3, was a busy day at Crediton’s Landscore Primary School with the weather holding out for both a morning sports day for Key Stage 2 children and an afternoon session for both Key Stage 1 and Early Years children.

Many parents attended both events and enjoyed cheering on the children as they took part in team events including relay races, hurdles, bean bag throw, potato and spoon races, rugby relay, triple jump, and tennis ball relay.

The Key Stage 2 event finished with sprint and distance finals in year groups.

Pupils were divided into four coloured teams, in Key Stage 2 the Blue Team scored the most points, while in the afternoon it was the Green Team who came out on top.

Debbie Main, Headteacher, said: “It was a great day, there was a lovely atmosphere during both events and it was brilliant that so many parents were able to join us.

“The children all tried really hard and enjoyed competing for their team, winning as many points as possible.”
